Generate a Conductor API Key

To pass data from your Conductor account to an LLM, you’ll need to verify that API credentials have been generated for your Conductor user profile. To verify whether you have an API key, click here to access your API information in the Conductor platform. You can determine whether you have an API key if the API activity looks like the example below, with the actual values redacted. If this is true, no more action is required. You can move on to the configuration below. (You won’t need the key or secret values—we just need to make sure they have been created.)

If the API activity looks like the the image below, you will need to generate a key—which you can do simply by clicking the Generate API Key button. Once your screen looks like the image above, you can move on to the configuration section below.

Configure Conductor in ChatGPT

  1. Go to ChatGPT.
  2. If you are not already, sign into the paid account you want to use to configure this integration. Be sure to use the correct account (likely an account belonging to your organization and not your personal ChatGPT account).
  3. Open your profile menu in the bottom-left corner and select Settings.
  4. Go to the Apps tab.
  5. Click Explore Apps.
  6. Search for and select the Conductor app in the App marketplace.
  7. Click Connect
  8. Click Connect Conductor. You will be redirected to a Conductor authentication screen.
  9. Authenticate using your Conductor credentials.
Your Workspace’s connection to Conductor’s MCP server is complete.
